When a television episode is banned or censored, it's hard to single out a specific perpetrator. From writers to directors to producers, and in some unique cases, to actors and actresses, hundreds if not thousands of individuals touch a television episode before it reaches a broadcasting company. Even then, unintentional decisions or mistakes will make it past the review checks. For better and for worse, the public is introduced to new, sometimes enlightening, and often taboo subjects that viewers had not seen before. When those subjects and content aren't welcomed, they're banned. So why not take a look back on television history and revisit the banned episodes from some of our favorite, and not-so-favorite, television shows.
